Odisha Seeks NIPER To Boost Pharma Sector


BHUBANESWAR: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday urged Union Minister of Chemical and Fertilisers Ananth Kumar to set up a National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in the state.

“In order to provide further boost to the availability of highly skilled human resource required for the pharma sector, Government of Odisha would also like to have one such institute in the state,” said the chief minister in a letter to Ananth Kumar.

He assured to make available the requisite built up space for running of the temporary campus of NIPER on an immediate basis and land for construction of its permanent campus in Odisha.
