Belpada section officer in Vigilance net for taking ₹15K bribe

The Vigilance officers on Friday nabbed a section officer of Belpada Tehshil office while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a person here.

The accused has been identified as Jugal Kishore Rout.

Rout, Section Officer, Belpada Tahasil, Dist- Bolangir has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance  while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs15,000 from a Complainant  for processing the file  before the Court of Tahasildar, Belpada and to pass  favorable order  in favour of the complaint . relating to a land dispute, said Vigilance officials.

The entire bribe amount of Rs.15,000 has been recovered from the accused, Rout  and seized. 

Following trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Rout from DA angle.
