Odisha reports highest single-day spike of 4330 Covid cases


Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported 4330 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, highest single-day spike so far, said a health official on Sunday.

With this, the state’s total tally increased to 179880.
Of the total fresh cases, 2556 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1774 were local contacts.


Khordha district recorded highest 644 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (549) and Puri (292).

The number of active cases in the state rose to 37469 while 1,41,657 patients have recovered so far.
