Odisha to provide Covid vaccine to 18+ for free


Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday announced that Covid-19 vaccine will be provided free of cost to citizens within the age bracket of 18-45 years.

The government will bear around Rs 2000 crore for the vaccination.

For the around two crore people in the age group, the government will spend around Rs 2000 crore, said Patnaik.

“We fought excellently against the Coronavirus last year but this year, the condition is extremely critical,” said the Chief Minister.

He also exhorted the people to follow COVID appropriate behaviour so that lockdown can be avoided.
