South-west monsoon arrives in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Southwest Monsoon has reached some parts of south Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.

The monsoon covered Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur districts and some parts of Nuapada, Kalahandi and Rayagada districts, informed Bhubaneswar Met Centre Director HR Biswas.

He said conditions are favourable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts of Odisha during next 2-3 days.
