SOA Hotel Management Institute honoured at Times Hospitality Icons event

Bhubaneswar: School of Hotel Management (SHM), faculty of hospitality and tourism management of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), was chosen as the state’s ICONIC Hospitality Management Institute for 2023 at the Times Hospitality Icons event held here on Tuesday.

Prof. Susant Ranjan Chaini, Dean of SHM, received the honour on behalf of SHM from actor Shamita Shetty for being a responsible upwardly mobile hospitality institute engaged in developing and implementing skill development programmes, setting standards in global hospitality education and collaborating with industry stakeholders to enhance skills in the tourism and hospitality sector.

Prof. Chaini, alongside Mr. Sudarshan Pattnaik, legendary sand artiste of the state, Mr. Samir Hans, Vice-President, Restaurant Association of Odisha and Mr. Priyanath Behera, Vice-President, Swosti Group of Hotels, provided his insights about the hospitality sector of Odisha and the role of institutes like SHM in grooming future hospitality managers.
