NUA-O Scholarship Odisha: How to apply, key dates

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government recently announced to give NUA-O Scholarship to UG and PG students in the state. This NUA-O Scholarship ensures inclusive and high-quality education.

Odisha Cabinet has approved implementation of the NUA-O Scholarship Scheme for all college students. Students of State Universities, Colleges taking admission through SAMS will receive annual scholarships under the scheme. The Odisha Government will spend ₹3,701.08 crore over 5 years starting from 2023-24.
Students will receive an annual scholarship of Rs 9,000 for male students and Rs 10,000 for girl students. Similarly, SC/ST students and children of construction workers pursuing UG/PG as above will get scholarships at higher rates of Rs 10,000 and Rs 11,000 for male and female students respectively.
However, if any student avails scholarship or financial assistance under KALIA scheme for professional and technical courses will not be entitled. The students whose either of parents is an income tax payee or is liable to pay income tax or either of the parents is employed as a regular employee in Government, PSUs, other government agencies or autonomous bodies or receiving the grant as a direct payment or block grant in case of educational institutions will not be eligible for this scholarship.
