Fire broke out at Aviation Research Centre of Charbatia in Odisha

Cuttack: A major fire broke out at the Aviation Research Centre (ARC) in Charbatia here on Friday.

At least five fire extinguishers have been pressed to douse the fire.

Though the exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, it is believed that the fire has engulfed some areas of the ARC for last three hours.

The 2000-acre base of the ARC is located 10 km away from the city and is known to be the largest among the five ARCs.

It has immense importance from the security point of view as it is a part of the India’s primary foreign intelligence agency-the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
