Rose Valley chit fund scam: HC rejects bail plea of TMC MP Tapas Pal

Cuttack: Orissa High Court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of TMC MP Tapas Pal, who has been arrested in Rose Valley chit fund scam.

Pal had moved the High Court after his bail plea was rejected in the Special CJM (CBI) court.

Tapas is under judicial custody after being arrested by the CBI in the multi-crore ponzi scam.

Notably, Pal was arrested by CBI from Kolkata on December 30 last year.

The parliamentarian, while working as a director of Rose Valley Group in 2010, had allegedly appointed his wife, daughter and niece in different positions.
