Angul: A three-year-old girl Radha, who had accidentally fallen into a borewell in Odisha’s Angul district in the morning, finally rescued alive.

She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.

Fire Services DG BK Sharma said the little girl, identified as Radha, was rescued at around 4.45 pm after hours of hard works by fire brigade personnel.

“Fire personnel fm Bamur & Angul FS did commendable job in the rescue operation along with many others. Snr Fire Officers supervised closely,” tweeted Sharma.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also expressed relief at the successful rescue operation of Radha. He also congratulated fire service personnel and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) team for their commendable work.

The girl was rescued after almost six hours of rescue operations by firefighters and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force personnel.

Worth mentioning, Radha, daughter of Santosh Sahu, had accidentally fallen into a borewell at around 8 am. The incident occurred at Gulasar village of Jamunali Gram Panchayat under Handapa Police Station limits.

The girl fell into the borewell accidentally while she was playing.
