Fire breaks out in showroom in Cuttack, several injured

Cuttack: A major fire broke out at a shopping mall in Badambadi area of Cuttack on Sunday.

While the properties worth lakhs gutted in the fire, some people injured in the fire. The injured have been admitted to the hospital.

Sources said the fire first engulfed City Style shopping mall while it spread to nearby shops including a hotel injuring several persons.

Fire service personnel have been engaged to douse the fire.

It is suspected that the fire spread due to electric short-circuit.

According to reports, the blaze has engulfed the City Style and Geeta Fashion dress shops in the shopping mall. Costly dress materials worth lakhs of rupees have been burnt to ashes. The fire brigades are still trying to douse the fire.
