Two villagers critical in wild bear attack in Ganjam


Berhampur: Two persons were critically injured in wild bear attack at a jungle near Paikajamuna village under Kabisuryanagar block in Ganjam district early on Wednesday morning.

The two injured, identified as Yuddhisthir Nayak and Manoj Gauda, were first rushed to Aska hospital but later shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

According to reports, Yuddhisthir and Manoj had gone to a nearby hill when a bear attacked them. Listening to their screams, villagers rushed to the spot and rescued them.

They are now undergoing treatment at the MKCG Hospital in Berhampur.
