Sushant, Ranjita refuse to undergo voice sample test


Cuttack: Gangster Sushnat Dhalsamnat and Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) corporator Ranjita Biswal were sent to jail after three days police remand.

They were interrogated in connection with the Bijan Kumar Pal firing case.

They were produced in the JMFC Rural Court. The court directed police to produce the duo on March 27 again.

Commissionerate police took Sushant Dhalsamant and CMC ward no-7 corporator Ranjita Biswal on a three-day remand.

The police seem to have obtained some vital information during the interrogation. Meanwhile, the duo refused to undergo voice sample test in connection with the firing on a contractor.

On March 7, police arrested Biswal for her alleged involvement in the firing case that was orchestrated by Sushant from inside the jail.

On February 23, criminal Mrutunjaya Nayak alias Miku fired at one Bijan Kumar Pal at Subhadrapur in Sadar police station limits. Miku was released from Jharpada Special Jail three days before the mishap where Sushant has been lodged.

He was arrested on March 3 in connection with the firing. During interrogation, Miku revealed the involvement of Ranjita Biswal leading to her arrest.

On January 29, 2016, Commissionerate police arrested Sushant Dhalsamant and Sushil Dhalsamant for their alleged involvement in kidnapping and murder of their aide Manoj Mallick.

Later, they were also charged with the kidnapping and murder of another aide Om Prakash Swain and also many other cases.

The younger brother Sushil is now lodged in Balasore jail.
