Car, truck collide head-on in Rayagada; 2 die, 2 critical

Bhubaneswar: At least two persons were killed and two others sustained critical injuries when a car, in which they were travelling, collided head-on with a truck at Pitamahal Chhak, Rayagada on Saturday.

The injured have been admitted to the Rayagada district hospital.

However, the deceased and injured were yet to be ascertained.

The car has been completely damaged in the accident.

The car was on its way from Andhra Pradesh to Rayagada when the mishap occurred. Fire and police personnel rescued the ill-fated persons from the car.

Meanwhile, the driver managed to flee from the spot.

The police have started an investigation into the incident.
