PaGo 2: Public Arts in Gopalpur from April 14


Bhubaneswar: The Brahmapur Development Authority (BeDA) will organise the second edition of PAGo (Public Arts in Gopalpur) on 14th and 15th of April after the success of its first edition held in March 2017 at Gopalpur-on-Sea.

This year’s PAGo is themed on maritime of the region, community development and heritage revival, represented through various mediums of art such as murals, ephemeral beach sand art, installations, community art, performances, workshops and art bazaar.

The event would be a confluence of nature, music, sports, art and culture involving general masses to give a unique experience to the tourists.

BeDA secretary Sambit Kumar Rout said, “PAGo was devised as a unique and first of its kind in Odisha, the festival attained wide reach last year with recognition from the Odisha government and a wide coverage in print media at the national edition. Gopalpur was also adjudged as the second best beach destination at India Today Tourism Awards 2017, which prompted BeDA to continue this forward this year.”

The works on murals and other prominent art installations have already started at the venue from 10th April on Gopalpur-on-Sea. A Cyclathon from Berhampur Stadium to Gopalpur main beach spanning 15 km will be held on 14th April sponsored by Axis Bank Ltd, Berhampur Cluster.
