Minister Damodar Rout sacked

BJD leader’s money in use for substandard flyover: Rout

Bhubaneswar: Senior Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Damodar Rout on Saturday demanded a probe on the allegations that money of a BJD leader has been invested in the Panda Infra, which is constructing flyovers at Bomikhal and Jatani.

“I was informed of low quality work by some locals and had apprised works secretary. But, no steps were taken even after one year. People are alleging that money of a BJD leader has been pumped into construction. So it needs to be probed which party leader’s money has been used,” said Rout.

Notably, a portion of Bomikhal over bridge collapsed on Thursday night killing a worker and injuring another. The same overbridge had collapsed in September last year.
