I want Odisha to get Olympic medals for the country: CM

Cuttack: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday said Odisha should get Olympic medals for the country.

“I want Odisha to get Olympic medals for the country,” said the Chief Minister, who attended the closing ceremony of tribal sports meet held at Cuttack indoor stadium.

Patnaik said that Sports is a powerful instrument to break social barriers and discrimination.

It also develops positive energy among the youth, he added.

Expressing happiness on the success of this mega event, which is first of kind sports event in the country, the CM said that about 1.3 lakh tribal sportspersons have displayed their talents at various levels of the event.

He distributed prizes to ten champion teams of senior boys and girls in team events.
