Cuttack: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday inaugurated two Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in Cuttack.

The Minister also flagged off a CNG awareness auto rally and took a ride in a CNG auto from CDA Sector -1 CNG station to CNG Station at Bidhyadharpur.  Over a hundred CNG powered autos participated in the rally covering a distance of 15 km between the two CNG stations.

Earlier in December 2017, two CNG stations at Chandrasekharpur and Patia had started operations in Bhubaneswar.

Two more stations are being constructed in Khandagiri and Tamando and another two would be ready in near future. In the coming years, over 20 CNG stations will be commissioned in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to supply CNG to vehicles.
