Two dead, two others injured in lightning strike in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: At least two persons were killed and two others injured in lightning in Mahakalpada of Kendrapara district on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Pranati Mandal and her daughter Deepali Mandal of Jambu village. Two of their relatives named Tarak Mandal, Dasi Mandal were injured critically.

They were admitted to Mahakalpada health centre and later shifted to district headquarters hospital after their condition deteriorated.

Lightning struck them when they were fishing in their country boat at Hukitola sea mouth in the morning.
