BJP leader Jayanarayan Mishra gets bail in Banabira firing case

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Tuesday granted conditional bail to BJP leader and former minister Jayanarayan Mishra, who was arrested over his alleged involvement in a firing incident in Bargarh district in which a ruling BJD worker had died.

The court granted the bail to the BJP leader against two sureties of Rs 50,000. It also asked Mishra not to go abroad without the permission of the lower court.

The court had earlier granted Mishra interim bail on health grounds.

Notably, Mishra was arrested by Padampur police on March 15 in connection with a firing incident near Banabira village under Sohela block of Bargarh district.
