Senior journalist Satya Prakash Nayak joins Congress

Bhubaneswar: Senior journalist Satya Prakash Nayak joined Congress party here on Sunday.

He joined the party in presence of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik and other senior leaders at Congress Bhawan here.

The PCC president said joining of Satya Prakash Nayak will strengthen the party.

Satya Prakash Nayak is likely to be the chief spokesperson of Odisha Congress, said party sources.

It was also learnt that he has been promised an assembly ticket from Bhandaripokhari constituency in Bhadrak district which is his native place.

Satya is a well-known face in every household of Odisha through his prime-time television shows in some regional channels.

He has the experience of over two decades in the field of journalism.
