Kerala flood: Odisha IAS, IPS officers contributes one-day salary


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha IAS Officers’ Association and IPS Officers’ Association on Monday resolved to contribute a minimum of one day salary of its members to flood-ravaged Kerala.

“The IAS Officers’ Association of Odisha expresses its deep anguish and concern on the unprecedented floods and consequent hardship being faced by people of Kerala. The mayhem has left nearly 350 people dead and about 2 lakh stranded,” said a resolution of the association.

The IAS Officers’ Association of Odisha resolves to contribute a minimum of one day salary of its members to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, said association secretary Vishal Kumar Dev.

The IPS Officers Association in Odisha also resolved to contribute one-day’s salary for Kerala.

Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced financial assistance of Rs 10 crore in two phases, and 500 MT of Polythene sheets worth Rs 8 crore for flood-ravaged Kerala.
