Asian Games 2018: Odisha govt announces another Rs 1.5 cr for Dutee Chand

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced another Rs 1.5 crore for Dutee Chand for clinching the silver medal in the 200-meter race at Jakarta Asian Games 2018.

The Chief Minister also announced all support for the Odisha sprinter in her preparations for Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

Earlier, Naveen had announced Rs 1.5 crore for Dutee Chand for bringing glory for India and Odisha by bagging silver medal in 100m at the Asian Games.

“Congratulate #DuteeChand, our own sprint queen on bringing more glory for #India with a silver medal in 200m sprint, following a silver in 100m. Entire #Odisha & the nation is proud of your silver double at the #AsianGames2018. Well done!,” tweeted Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
