Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday announced to stage protest against the fuel price rise across the state from September 7 to 9.
Senior leader Arun Sahu said activists of Biju Mahila Janata Dal, Biju Yuva Janata Dal and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal will stage protests at petrol pumps in the state during the three days from 10 am to 12 noon.
He said the party workers will stage the protest at petrol pumps for awareness of fuel consumers regarding the price hike.
Senior BJD leader Sanjay Dasburma blamed the BJP led-Central Government and Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the frequent increase in the fuel price.
He said the central government is benefiting the corporates at the cost of common people.
