Indian Oil organizes Swachhta Hi Seva campaign in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Indian Oil Odisha Office employees came forward for Swachh Bharat Mission towards fulfilling Bapu’s dream of a clean and green India.

Around 150 employees of Indian Oil on Saturday celebrated “Swachhta Hi Seva”, a cleaning activity in Khandagiri and Udaygiri with the help of Archeological Survey of India and ensured sustained cleanliness of the iconic tourist spot.

Being a tourist spot, a lot of plastic carry bags, plastic bottles and other waste papers thrown in the surrounding areas of Khandagiri were cleaned today.

This occasion was organised under the guidance of Pritish Bharat, Chief General Manager, Debi Prasad Satapathy, General Manager HR-CSR, SB Kalyani, GM Finance, Sanjay Jha, GM LPG, SK Ravi, GM Operation and other senior officials. Witnessing the employees of Indian Oil cleaning the iconic place, a group of tourist motivated and joined the mission.

Pritish Bharat distributed eco-friendly jute bags to the tourists and urged to avoid plastic bags thus contributing for a transform into a Swachh Bharat, a clean environment.

Apart from the cleaning heritage places, Indian Oil has also undertaken the cleaning activity of toilets, distribution of health kit, plantation, Nukad Natak in rural places for spreading awareness of Swachhta.
