Sex racket busted in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Friday busted a sex racket operating at an apartment near SUM Hospital under Khandagiri police limits in Bhubaneswar.

Acting on a tip off, the Quick Action Team (QAT) of the Commissionerate Police along with local police station staff raided an apartment located near SUM hospital and managed to nab three persons from the spot.

While three men were detained in the incident, three women, two from West Bengal and one of Odisha, have been rescued from the spot.

Police have also seized two cars, three motorcycles and several objectionable items in this connection.

Meanwhile the Khandagiri police is interrogating the accused to extract more information about the kingpins involved in this case.

From the apartment, police have also seized some incriminating articles used in this immoral case.

Sources in the police said a man hailing from Ganjam had taken the house on rent and was operating the illegal business.
