Sacrifice of CRPF personnel will not go in vain: Rajnath

Bhadrak: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said the sacrifice of martyred CRPF jawans who died in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama will not go in vain.

“The sacrifice of our brave jawans will not go in vain. Our soldiers have been given complete freedom for a strong retaliation against the perpetrators. The entire nation stands united in these hours,” said the Home Minister.

He was addressing a meeting of booth-level party workers in Odisha’s Bhadrak on Sunday.

The Minister said the entire nation is with the family members of the martyred CRPF personnel.

Before the commencement of his speech, Singh, other party leaders and workers present at the meeting spot observed an one-minute silent remembering the martyred jawans including Odia CRPF jawans Prasanna Kumar Sahoo and Manoj Behera.

Singh questioned why Odisha is lacking development despite a stable government in the state.

Giving examples of BJP-ruled states, Rajnath said the GDP of those states are higher than that of Odisha.

“Why can’t such developmental activities take place in Odisha?” he asked.
