Naveen invites Modi to attend swearing-in ceremony as guest

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Patnaik on Wednesday exuded confidence of governing the state for the fifth time as he invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the swearing-in ceremony after the declaration of the Assembly segment results on May 23.

Patnaik asserted that BJD has secured adequate votes in the first three phases to form the next government in the state.

“Yesterday, the Prime Minister said he will visit Odisha after the exit of the BJD government. The BJD has already secured majority in the first three phases with the blessings of people here. I politely invite Modiji to attend the BJD government’s oath-taking ceremony as a guest,” said Patnaik while addressing an election rally in Basta under Balasore Lok Sabha constituency.

Patnaik’s statement comes a day after the Prime Minister asserted that the exit of Naveen Patnaik is certain.

‘Naveen babu aap jaa rahe ho, apka jaana tay hai’, said Modi during an election rally in Kendrapara.
