Schools in Odisha to reopen on June 21

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday issued orders to reopen all private and government schools from June 21.

The government took the decision after the change in weather conditions.

The schools will be opended after long summer vacation in the state, informed School and Mass Education Department.

Earlier, School and Mass Education secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra informed that the schools were to reopen after summer vacation on June 26 instead of the previously slated June 19 due to the then prevalent heat wave condition sweeping across Odisha.

As per the previous schedule, the schools were supposed to re-open on June-19. However, the government had extended the vacation till June 25 due to prevailing heat wave conditions.
