Odisha pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on 150th birth anniversary

Naveen dedicates Mahatma Gandhi’s Talisman


Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday dedicated Mahatma Gandhi’s Talisman at Loka Seva Bhavan Palm Court as part of the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Mahatma Gandhi.

Veteran freedom fighters Bhawani Patnaik and Nilamani Samal, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments, members of the 150th Birth Anniversary Committee were present on the occasion.

Gandhiji’s Talisman has been inscribed on a brass plate both in Odia and English language with a sketch of the Mahatma. It will inspire all to work selflessly for the cause of poorest of the poor, the CM said.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the 9th storied Kharavel Bhawan which will house 11 departments of the State Government.
