Odisha govt to take feedback of patients in govt hospitals


Bhubaneswar: To ensure better healthcare to the people, the Odisha government has decided to take the feedback from the patients undergoing treatment in various government hospitals in the state.

Talking to the media persons after inaugurating the state-level Chief District Medical Officers (CDMOs) conference here on Thursday, health and family welfare minister Naba Kishore Das said his department will take the feedback from the patients about their treatment in the government hospitals.

“A team will be formed under the direct supervision of the health secretary. The team, in a telephonic conversation with the patients, will collect their feedback about the health services being provided to them by the hospitals as well as the problems they are facing while undergoing treatment,” the minister added.

 In pursuance of Odisha Government’s ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative to be launched from October 2, the health department has geared up itself for the implementation make healthcare services more people-centric.

As per the Chief Minister’s ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative based on 5T mantra, it will be initially implemented in all the District Headquarters Hospitals (DHHs). The Chief Minister will directly phone and interact with the people in order to enquire about the response given by the hospitals, police stations and Government offices.

He will also seek feedback about the citizen-centric services given by the Government offices of both district and state level. 

Das informed, “Our Chief Minister has announced the launching of ‘Mo Sarkar’ from October 2. Under this initiative, we’ll collect feedback from the patients. All the CDMOs have been asked to look after the best services the people get from healthcare.”

He added, “As the cleanliness and sanitation of the hospitals, laundry, security, etc are being carried out under the NIRMAL Yojana, we have now made an arrangement so that a Joint Secretary will be entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring the Yojana. Discussion wa held about functioning of SUNETRA, NIRAMAYA, RNTCP, NCD, DIGITAL DISPENSARY etc.

On this occasion, Dr. Pramod Kumar Meherda, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Health and FW, Salini Pandit, MD, NHM, Yamini Sarangi, MD, OSMCL, all the CDMOs and other senior officers of the department were present.
