AirAsia to operate more flights from Bhubaneswar airport


Bhubaneswar: AirAsia has decided to operate more domestic flights from Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar to major cities like Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Odisha Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi on Wednesday informed that AirAsia flights would start operating from Bhubaneswar airport to the cities from October 29.

Panigrahi informed that the AirAsia authorities have informed the state government about providing flight connectivity to Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

He also said that discussions with other airlines for domestic flight services from the airport are also underway.

The Minister also informed that the government is also trying to ensure more flight connectivity to Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda.

Presently, AirAsia is providing domestic flight connectivity from Bhubaneswar airport to Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Goa and Kolkata.
