AAI to fund for health infra in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between Airports Authority of India (AAI), Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) and the Odisha Health department for infrastructure development in hospitals.

One MOA was signed for construction of two modula OTs and one general operation theatre at Capital Hospital at a cost of Rs 4.74 crore.

Similarly, another MOA between Airports Authority of India, BPIA and CDMO Cuttack was signed for funding of Rs 6.74 crore for construction of maternity ward with modern equipments and expansion of existing building of Niali CHC.

Airports Authority of India, BPIA, Bhubaneswar will provide the funds out of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), said a release.

The MOA was signed in presence of Health secretary Dr. Promod Kumar Meherda here.

BPIA director Suresh Chandra Hota and Health special secretary Dr. Haraprasad Pattanaik signed the MoAs.
