Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday said it would strictly enforce the amended Motor Vehicle Act 2019 from December 1.
State Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera said the amended Motor Vehicles Act will be implemented strictly for traffic regulations.
Notably, traffic regulations and collection of hefty fines for violation of norms were relaxed a few days after implementation of the Act from September 1.
Minister Naveen Patnaik had directed a relaxation on traffic enforcement for a
period of three months and asked the commuters to keep their vehicle documents
ready within the period.
