Bhubaneswar: National Law University (NLU) in Cuttack on Saturday approved 25% domicile reservation for the students of Odisha across categories for admission into UG and PG courses.
The reservation, however, will be subject to the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) score.
“The General Council of NLU Odisha in its Special Meeting held on 04 January 2020 approved the 25% horizontal reservation to domicile of state of Odisha across categories for the admission to Undergraduate and Post-graduate programmes at National Law University Odisha,” said a notification.
Undergraduate Programme: Candidates who have passed 12th class or equivalent examination from the state of Odisha and secured at least 60% marks (or its equivalent grade) in the said examination from any recognized College/University in the state of Odisha.
Postgraduate Programme: Candidates who have passed Undergraduate law programme (B.A.LL.B./B.B.A.LL.B./LL.B. etc) or equivalent examination and secured at least 50 % marks (or its equivalent grade) in the said examination from any recognized College/University in the state of Odisha.
Earlier, the
state government had demanded 25% reservation for Odisha students in NLU,
Cuttack.
