Visually impaired Tapaswini Das cracks OPSC despite all odds


Bhubaneswar: Despite all odds, visually impaired Tapaswini Das has cleared the Odisha Civil Service Examination 2018 conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).

With her determination to achieve her goals, she secured 161 rank in the OCS exam 2018.

A native of Bhubaneswar, Tapaswini lost her vision when she was in class three at DAV Chandrasekharpur. Later, she did her education in Bhimabhoi School for Blind and completed Plus Two and graduation from Ramadevi Women’s University.

“Congratulations to Tapaswini Das of Bhubaneswar who has cleared the Odisha Civil Service Examination 2018 despite being visually impaired. She would become the first visually challenged lady OAS officer of Odisha,” tweeted Sulochana Das, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Odisha.
