Bhubaneswar: Vigilance officials on Friday conducted a raid on the houses of former Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA Anam Nayak on charges of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The vigilance officials searched the house of former Bhawanipatna MLA at Nakatiguda and a hotel at Madanpur Rampur in Kalahandi district.
Sources said that allegation of corruption had earlier levelled against the former BJD legislator while his son was arrested in a cheating case.
Nayak was an
MLA in the ruling BJD from 2014 to 2019.
