Air India starts Bhubaneswar-Surat direct flight service

Bhubaneswar: Air India commenced the Bhubaneswar to Surat flight service on Monday.

Air India flight carrying passengers departed from Bhubaneswar Airport at 8:40 AM and is expected to land at Surat airport around 10:40 AM.

A total of 81 passengers including Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi took the first flight today.

Air India has proposed the Biju Patnaik International Airport to provide flight services twice a week.

While the flight will operate between Bhubaneswar and Surat on Mondays and Thursdays it will run from Surat on Fridays and Sundays, said airport sources.

It will leave Bhubaneswar at 8.40 am and from Surat at 8.30 am, sources added.

 While the lowest fare quoted on its official website (airindia.in) is Rs 4503, the return journey is reported to be Rs 4213.
