Bhubaneswar: The annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) commenced across Odisha on Wednesday.
Around 5.60 lakh students are appearing the HSC exam 2020.
While 5,47,747 students are appearing the Annual HSC Examination 2020 at 2,767 centres, 9,771 students are appearing for the State Open School Certificate (SOSC) Examination at 76 centres and 3,373 students appearing for the Madhyama (Sanskrit) Examination at 45 centres, said BSE sources.
The students appeared the question paper of MIL (Odia) subject on the first day.

centres amid tight security ahead of the commencement of the examination.
