Bhubaneswar: All classes and hostel facilities in the Central university of Odisha campus remain suspended till 31 March and student residing in the hostels are advised to vacate hostel premises within 48 hours.
In view of the extra ordinary need to prevent possible spread of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) and in light of the order of the Odisha Higher Education Department, the Registrar of the University Prof. Asit Kumar Das issued a notification in this regard today to take preventive measures with immediate effect.
Further, Mid Semester Examination for all the programmes have been postponed and all functions such as seminar/symposia/workshops stand cancelled in the University till further order, said a release of Central University.
Teachers shall remain available to the learner as per the time table. Students are required to make regular communication with the respective teachers and departments for study materials and examinations.
The University will remain open and function as usual except class room teaching and examinations. All teachers/Guest faculties/Visiting Professor, Non-teaching staff (including regular and outsources staff) will perform duties with precautionary measures as per the UGC advisory.
The preventive measures taken by the University will be revisited on 22 March 2020 and further communication will be updated in the University website, the release said.
