Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday requested Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to implement Centre’s Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the state.
In a tweet, Pradhan said the noble scheme must be implemented in Odisha for the benefit of poor people who are fighting the deadly coronavirus.
“In wake of the global pandemic and the rising number of coronavirus cases, I request Shri @Naveen_Odisha to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha for the benefit of the people to further strengthen the fight against #Covid-19,” tweeted Pradhan.
He said the Centre, as well as the state, have been trying their best to protect the people from the onslaught of the deadly COVID-19.

Bharat beneficiary would be able to get himself tested for Covid-19 in any of
the empanelled private hospital free of cost, he added.
