After 3 COVID19 cases, Bomikhal area sealed

Bhubaneswar: After three COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Bomikhal area, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday sealed the area to contain community transmission.

BMC restricted entry and exit into Bomikhal area where three COVID-19 positive cases have been detected this evening.

The BMC sealed several areas coming under under Bomikhal till further orders.

These include Ekamra Hall to Jharpada Canal Road; Jharpada Canal Road to Jharpada Durga Mandap; Jharpada Durga Mandap to Cuttack-Puri Road (DCB Bank Square); and Cuttack-Puri Road (DCB Bank Square) to Ekamra Hall.

The Corporation has declared the aforementioned region as containment zone.

This will be the second area in Bhubaneswar being sealed in two consecutive days.

On Thursday, BMC had sealed Surya Nagar area after a coronavirus positive case was detected who had no travel history.

COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha stand at 9. Seven cases have been reported in Bhubaneswar.
