Bhubaneswar: As many as 427 persons have been arrested for different violations relating to COVID-19 in Odisha, said an official on Monday.
29 shopkeepers have been arrested in Bhadrak Town for defying social distancing norms, said Subroto Bagchi, Chief Spokesperson of Odisha government on COVID-19.
From 5th April morning to 6th April morning, 249 cases have been registered by the police in the state for violations of different regulations and guidelines related to COVID-19.
Out of which, 233 cases registered for violation of lockdown, 5 cases for rumor-mongering and 11 for other issues.
