7 special COVID-19 hospitals start functioning in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: A total of seven special COVID-19 hospitals have already become functional in Odisha, said an official on Tuesday.

The official said that as many as 34 COVID-19 hospitals/ isolation centres with 5697 bed capacity have been planned for treatment of coronavirus affected patients in Odisha.

On the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, a dedicated COVID-19 Telemedicine Helpline-14410 is going to be launched to provide medical assistance to potential COVID-19 cases across the state.

This is a completely free service and anyone who is suffering from COVID-19 symptoms can call the helpline.

The Chief Minister has made an appeal to all the doctors from Odisha and India to support the government in this initiative.

On his appeal, more than 300 doctors have already come forward to provide their services voluntarily in this fight against COVID-19 by registering themselves at www.bit.ly_IndiaTeleMed.
