COVID19 testing facility at MKCG-Berhampur

Bhubaneswar: MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur has been permitted by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi to conduct COVID19 testing.

After SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, this is the second medical college and hospital in the state, which will help in carrying out tests in the southern part of the state, further strengthening Odisha’s fight against the pandemic.

Meanwhile, modern equipment COBAS has been installed in RMRC-Bhubaneswar and with this the testing capacity has increased to 1000 per day.

Strengthening Odisha government’s effort in COVID-19 testing in the state, around 4000 testing Kits were airlifted from Mumbai via a special Cargo Plane last evening.

The kits consist of tests, reagents and VTMS vital for the process.
