12 places record above 40 degree C in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Odisha continued to experience heat wave as 12 places recorded maximum temperature above 40 degrees Celsius on Monday.

Four places recorded maximum temperature above 41 degrees Celsius, the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said.

Capital city Bhubaneswar and western Odisha town Titlagarh were the hottest places with maximum temperature at 41.5 degrees Celsius.

While Bolangir recorded 41.2 degrees Celsius, Bariapda boiled at 41 degrees Celsius. Both Chandbali and Angul registered 40.7 degree Celsius.

Cuttack recorded maximum temperature of 40.1 degrees Celsius.
