Reliance Foundation provides dry ration kits in twin cities


Bhubaneswar: Reliance Foundation has been distributing family dry ration kits in slum areas, old age homes and migrant labourer camps in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in view of coronavirus outbreak.

Dry ration kits comprising staples such as rice, dal, sugar along with cooking oil, spices, soaps, etc. are being distributed to the marginalised by Reliance Foundation through local NGOs partners including Odisha Gujarati Samaj and Humara Bachpan Trust.

The families and individuals being covered under this dry ration kits distribution include manual rickshaw pullers, city cleanliness and sanitary workers, inmates of old age homes, slum dwellers, migrant and daily wage labourers, housemaids, persons with disabilities.

The beneficiaries have been supported as per the details shared by both Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation and Cuttack Municipal Corporation authorities.

While dry ration kits have already been provided by Reliance Foundation to more than 2900 families over last five days, it has also planned to cover more areas and families in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack as well as extend it to Khurda and Bhadrak, this week.
