SC Collegium recommends Mohammed Rafiq as Orissa HC Chief Justice

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of Meghalaya High Court (HC) Chief Justice Mohammed Rafiq as Chief Justice (CJ) of Orissa High Court.

Justice Rafiq was sworn-in as Chief Justice of Meghalaya HC in November last year.

Justice Sanju Panda is currently the Acting Chief Justice of Orissa HC.

Justice Mohammed Rafiq enrolled as an advocate at the Bar Council of Rajasthan in 1984. He was elevated to the bench of Rajasthan HC in May 2006.
