Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday said the indisciplined persons, who will violate quarantine norms, will be shifted to quarantine centres located in non-home districts while their quarantine period will be extended.
Quarantine violators will be shifted to different district quarantine centres and quarantine period will be extended. Besides, they will be arrested and incentive will not be given to them, said chief secretary Asit Tripathy.
He further said all people returning from other states must have to go for quarantine.
Otherwise action will be taken against them, he added.
The chief secretary informed that buses without passes and overcrowded buses carrying stranded people of Odisha will not be allowed inside the state.
He said persons coming by bus have to strictly stick to route plans.
Some vehicles/buses are not following the routes prescribed by the Odisha government. Strict action will be taken if the routes are not followed properly. Buses will be seized and quarantine period will be increased, said Tripathy.
“In the last two months, we have been able to contain COVID19 spread in Odisha. A lot of frontline workers are working 24/7 across the state and we don’t want to comprise it at any level,” said the chief secretary.
