Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday said the migrants willing to return to the state have to compulsorily register the vehicle of transport and passengers in the portal- https://covid19.odisha.gov.in.
“Anyone wishing to return to #Odisha by Road is compulsorily required to register the vehicle of transport and passengers in the Portal-https://covid19.odisha.gov.in,” tweeted the Chief Secretary.
Vehicles will be permitted to enter into Odisha through the identified 12 Border Check Points (BCP) if the vehicle is registered along with passengers.
Also the vehicle is required to carry the Pass issued by the authorities of state of origin, said the Chief Secretary.
Odisha government has developed the portal for the registration of Odia migrant workers.
The government will be providing a financial incentive of Rs.2000 to the returned migrants once they complete the mandatory 14-quarantine at the temporary medical camps.
At the time of registration at https://covid19.odisha.gov.in, one has to give the following details-
- Registration by
- Category of traveller
- Name of traveller
- Mobile No.
- Aadhaar No.
- Present Location (Outside Odisha)- State, district, city
- Number of family member wishing to return
- Family member details
- Address in Odisha (district, select block, ward no., village, address)
- Name and phone no. of contact person in Odisha
Meanwhile, people have started arriving to Odisha from other states. Students from Kota in Rajasthan and migrant workers from Surat in Gujarat have arrived in Odisha by road.
The first special train from Kerala carrying as many as 1,150 migrant workers hailing from Odisha reached Jagannathpur Railway Station in Ganjam district on Sunday morning.
The Home Department has delegated the powers and simplified the procedure for issue of interstate pass for stranded persons. They may apply to Sub Collector/Tahasildar/DCP.
